Już za miesiąc Polska będzie gościć badaczy i osoby zajmujące się ochroną chomika europejskiego z licznych krajów zasięgu tego gatunku. Wciąż trwają zapisy na tę konferencję!

W tym roku chomik europejski „zyskał” statut krytycznie zagrożonego w skali globalnej. Został więc uznany za najbardziej zagrożonego ssaka polskiej fauny. Aby go uratować przed zagładą potrzebne są pilne i szeroko zakrojone wysiłki, oparte o najlepszą aktualną wiedzę o tym gatunku. Polskie Towarzystwo Ochrony Przyrody „Salamandra” jest dumne, że wspólnie z Wydziałem Biologii Uniwersytetu im. A. Mickiewicza w Poznaniu oraz Urzędem Miasta Jaworzno mogą zaprosić na 27 Spotkanie International Hamster Workgroup. Jest to konferencja otwarta dla wszystkich zainteresowanych badaniem i ochroną tego gatunku.

We invite to the European Hamster conference

Already in a month's time, Poland will host researchers and conservationists of the European hamster from numerous countries of this species range. Registration for this conference is still ongoing!

This year the European hamster has "gained" the status of Critically Endangered (CR) on a global scale. Therefore, it has been recognized as the most endangered mammal of Polish fauna. To save it from extinction, urgent and extensive efforts are needed, based on the best available knowledge about this species. The Polish Society for Nature Conservation "Salamandra" is proud to invite you to the 27^th International Hamster Workgroup Meeting, together with the Faculty of Biology of A. Mickiewicz University in Poznan and the Jaworzno Municipality. It is a conference open to all those interested in studying and protecting this species.
